About the event
The Cliff Swim is an open water 3km swim starting at Beaumaris Life Saving Club following the length of Beaumaris Cliffs to the beginning of Mentone Beach then along the beach finishing just past Mentone Life Saving Club.
The Cliff Swim gives you the opportunity to challenge yourself while enjoying the reef's abundant sea life and the beautiful sandstone cliffs.
We pride ourselves in our relaxed atmosphere, well-marked course, and friendly volunteers. The entire swim stays close to the shoreline with poles on the right of swimmers, making pacing and distances easy to judge.
Each year, the Cliff Swim is growing in popularity. Occasionally we have some big open-water swimming names join us each year.
